Our entire crew at Bison is “extremely” excited to receive an invitation from Royce Builders to participate in the Kubena family’s Extreme Home Makeover. Most of the materials were provided by our Rosenberg location and we are very proud of our Manager, Bryan Baker, and his staff for their efforts.

Through a partnership with the Texas Bison Association, our involvement began by providing Bison burgers on Thursday evening to a crew of approximately 300. By all reports, the burgers were a fantastic hit!

The materials provided by Bison included all of the form and flat work lumber required for the foundation, all of the interior doors and trim and many extras for the special projects including materials for furniture, decorations, etc. Through partnerships with Weyerhaeuser and James Hardie Building Products, Bison provided the roof deck, floor deck, floor system and the complete siding supply list including Hardie plank siding and trim.

Our vision is to be the preeminent resource within the residential construction field and the model which every competitor strives to emulate. We believe giving back to the community is a critical part of that vision.

D.P.I.S. Engineering, LLC

Dale Phillips, the engineers, designers, inspectors and staff were honored to have been chosen to be a part of the team building the new home for the Kubena family. DPIS is providing the foundation design & engineering, energy plan analysis, energy testing and inspections. Inspectors will be on the job site day and night until completion.

Hurts Wastewater Management, Ltd.

What a wonderful, heartwarming, and rewarding experience it has been for our company to be involved in helping Royce Builders and the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" team! Our business is family owned and operated, so this has been a very special opportunity for our team to help another family.

During the installation of the wastewater treatment system, each of us had the privilege to meet so many wonderful people including members of the Kubena family--a well deserving family.

We realize that the Kubena family has many more struggles ahead. We will continue to keep the Kubena family in our prayers for good health and happiness.

Swartz Electric and Texas Home Electronics are proud to be able to provide FREE OF CHARGE the entire electrical system as well as the security and structured wiring prewire system for this home. The family was informed of this on Tuesday, January 17, 2006. The 24 hour a day project will be completed Sunday, January 22, furniture moved in Monday and the family will move in Tuesday. More employees than we needed volunteered even though it could be 2 AM in the morning when they would be working. This speaks highly of our employees and is greatly appreciated.

Wisenbaker Builder Services

Wisenbaker Builder Services’ employees and sub-contractors are extremely excited about our participation in this worthy project. We will be providing and installing the flooring, countertops and tile in the Kubena Family’s new home.

It is such a pleasure to be involved in an undertaking that will make the everyday home life of this family who has come up against some very difficult situations more pleasant and livable.

Many here at Wisenbaker looked at the project as being next to impossible to complete in the time allotted to complete the home and have it ready for move-in. But, the reputation of the Extreme Makeover people, along with Royce Builders and its many dependable and highly regarded vendors, has taken the doubt of an on-time completion completely out of the picture.

It is our sincere hope and prayer that this home will be a dream come true for the Kubena Family and that their precious daughters will be completely healed and rehabilitated and can enjoy their new home with their family as healthy, happy little girls.
